i.blog goes live
DA Group is pleased to announce the launch of its blogging service for businesses, known as “i.blog”. This innovative new product will be launched this week at this year’s Milia, the world's premier audiovisual and digital content market, with the first ever event-blog for exhibitors and delegates.
I.blog is built around DA’s Yomego multi-media entertainment platform, which incorporates DA’s patented technology, to enable businesses to embrace user generated content and capitalise on the huge growth in citizen journalism. It allows the instant creation and sharing of personal reports, photos, individual video and audio clips from and to mobile and web devices.
It has already been successfully deployed as a consumer service by Peekaboo TV (wap.peekabootv.com), where users are rewarded for uploading content that is then accessed by others, but Milia is the first time i.blog will be presented to an international trade audience. It will be used to instantly gather, stream and broadcast individual reactions to the show’s programme, including Milia’s Fashion TV, exhibitor promotions and conferences.
Mike Antliff, Chief Executive for DA Group, said, “Right now, user generated content is a driver for networks wanting to increase traffic and for brands wanting to engage with an increasingly fragmented audience. We are well positioned to realise the vast networking, promotional and revenue opportunities WAP and web blogging offers businesses. At Milia, will be the first time that blogging has been used as a business to business tool. Exhibitors and delegates can instantly post news and information – as it happens. In such a dynamic context as Milia we expect i.blog to attract a great deal of attention.”
At Milia, Cannes (3rd – 7th April, 2006) DA Group will be found in the Mobile Village, Level 3, Stand G3 29.
